Work on the Flandres Bridge: how to get to the Boat Lift this summer

The Fontinettes Boat Lift remains open all summer! The Flandres Bridge in Arques is undergoing works (repairs to the deck and the creation of a cycle path) and will be closed to vehicles from 15 July to 20 August.

Key points

• 🚶🚴 The bridge remains open to pedestrians and cyclists: no diversion

• 🅿️ 410 free parking spaces (including 16 for people with reduced mobility) on either side of the bridge, within 250 m

• 🗺️ Signposted diversions for vehicles

• By car, from Saint-Omer

• 15–24 July: Rue Anatole France → Rue Ernest Renan → Rue de Bretagne → Quai du Commerce → Rue Marcel Delaplace → Avenue du Général de Gaulle → D942 to the Fort Rouge roundabout

• From 27 July to 20 August: diversion from the Flandres Bridge → Quai du Commerce → Rue Marcel Delaplace → Avenue du Général de Gaulle → the D942 to the Fort Rouge roundabout
